It took about a week for my 3 year old to learn how to use this cap, but now he can twist it open and closed easily.
The dust cap is more challenging - it can be hard to line up, even for me if I am in a hurry. My son found it annoying against his cheek while drinking, so I unclipped it and use it as a separate piece (at the risk of it getting lost.)
There are a few minor problems with the cap - it won't suck if the bottle is full to the top - there has to be some air for it to work and it has a 'bubbling' feel that I find annoying but my son doesn't mind.
The cap seals well when in the closed position, but drips a lot when open, leaking through the dust cap. I can't really complain about this, as it means my seven month old is able to use the bottle as well. (I make sure he only takes small sips to prevent a vacuum forming.)
The writing on the cap is starting to fade, but this only worries those of us who can read lol.
Overall, a good product.
